Dermaplaning
Brighter and Refreshed
Dermaplaning, also known as “Epiblading” is a gentle method of deeply exfoliating the skin. Performed with a surgical blade which is worked gently and methodically over the face removing the outer layer of dead skin cells as well as fine vellus hair or “Peach Fuzz” leaving the skin super smooth, fuzz free, brighter and refreshed.
Our Dermaplaning Treatments are combined with a hydrating mask treatment for optimal hydration. There is no down time associated with dermaplaning and it is the perfect treatment pre Skin Peels to assist with better penetration of the Peel or enzyme mask as well as skincare product penetration. Another favourite combo is pairing Dermaplaning with our Dermalux LED for superior results and LED treatment effectiveness.
Dermaplaning also the perfect treatment to have before applying makeup for a big event such as a wedding, as the dermaplaning allows makeup to glide on perfectly.
Only the fine, soft ‘vellus’ hairs are treated with Dermaplaning, not coarser, thicker or hormonal hairs. And no it won’t cause hairs to grow back differently – peach fuzz will always be peach fuzz (cutting it cannot change the structure, texture or colour of the hair growth)

FAQ:
What will happen to the fine hair after Epi Blading?
Fine hair removed during the treatment will not be stimulated or grow back coarse or darker, it will simply return to how it was before treatment. Results can be seen after every treatment but we would recommend regular 3 – 4 weekly treatments for a long lasting result.
Who can have this treatment?
Dermaplaning can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker skins) and is safe to have if pregnant and breastfeeding. Dermaplaning is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6-12 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, rosacea, psoriasis, dermatitis or thin reactive skin in the area to be treated.
Is it painful?
No not at all! It feels just like a light pressure.
Can I do it for hair removal only?
Yes. It is a great alternative to people who don’t want to wax or thread and can’t get laser hair removal, dermaplaning also includes the benefit of removing dead skin build up for brighter, fresher, dramatically smoother skin.
When can I wear make-up after?
Mineral makeup can be worn immediately after if needed. After any facial we recommend waiting until the following day before applying regular makeup to let your skin reap the full benefits of the treatment and skincare products applied.
